Why is the flight from Phoenix to Pittsburgh so much shorter than Pittsburgh to Phoenix

Why is the flight from Phoenix to Pittsburgh so much shorter than Pittsburgh to Phoenix?
The flight from Pittsburgh to Phoenix is 4:40 and the flight FROM Phoenix to Pittsburgh is 4:02. Why is that?

Because of the Earths rotation. East to West you are going "with" the rotation Going the other way, the Earth is spinning toward you.

Above poster is partially right, but it is the wind up there that is the real reason.

Flying East planes are going in the same direction as the jet stream. Flying West they have to fly against the wind. Is similar to rowing a boat downstream as opposed to rowing upstream.
