when you have a connecting flight, what do you do about luggage
when you have a connecting flight, what do you do about luggage?
So i'm going to be flying US airways from madison to las vegas with a connecting flight in chicago on the way there and in phoenix on the way back. I've never flown with a connecting flight before, nor have I ever flown alone (which i will be doing). My question is, when i stop in chicago, do i pick up my own luggage for the next flight or does the airline take care of putting it on the next plane? Is there anything else I should know about flying alone and connecting flights? thanks!!

NO YOU DONT PICK YOUR LUGAGE UP..ITS TAKEN TO THE CONNECTING PLANE BY THE BAG HANDLERS...DONT WORRY
2 :
U TELL THE FUCKIN AIRPLANE PPL TO DO IT FOR YOU, THATS WHAT YOURE PAYIN THOSE PRICES FOR LOL LOL LOL.......
3 :
They handle it for you. If there is any considerable layover, keep track of time zones and be aware of the current time at the airport where you are stopping over so you don't miss your flight. Remember there are four time zones and they are each an hour apart from their adjacent time zones so, for example, when it's 12 noon on the East coast, it's 9 am on the West Coast. It's always earlier in the West (left side) and later in the East (right) side.
4 :
The airline will take care of your luggage which should arrive at the airport at your destination (Las Vegas). When connecting flights, the airline help desk near the gate will help you any way should you have any questions. The main thing I have found when connecting flights is finding the gate for my plane. Gates at airports are marked well and there are maps showing directions. Hope this helps you some, just relax and enjoy your trip and vacation.
5 :
it'll be automatically transferred to the connecting flight so you needn't worry

Do any planes take off after 10 pm from LAX to Phoenix
Do any planes take off after 10 pm from LAX to Phoenix?
My son arrives at LAX at 9:10pm from Taipei, The latest flight I can find leaves LAX at 9:34 pm. 25 minutes is pushing it since the flight could be a little late coming from Taipei. Are there any flights after 10pm, I can't find any. Otherwise he will have to wait till 6am for a flight. Does anyone know of an airline flying from lax to Phoenix between 10 pm and 2am?

You are correct. Your son will have to clear customs at LAX, and that will make getting on a connecting flight in less than 25 minutes nearly impossible. There are no flights to Phoenix between 10:00 pm, and 6:00 am. The two earliest flights out of LAX to Phoenix are at 6:30 am on U.S Airways Flight #183 (an Airbus 321), or at 6:33 am on United Flight #6463 (a Canadair CRJ 700)

How long is a flight from Orlando, Florida to Seattle, Washington
How long is a flight from Orlando, Florida to Seattle, Washington?
I was looking at "cheap flights from Orlando to Seattle" for my boyfriend's next visit, and found this schedule: Alaska Airlines: May 18th, 2010. Depart at 8:30AM, arrive 11:30AM. I have just currently flown from Seattle, Washington ON Alaska Airlines to Phoenix, Arizona and it took me 2 1/2 hours. Why would it be 30 minutes more when Arizona is 3 states away from me, and Florida is far more? Does this mean my boyfriend's flight would be overnight?

From what I checked via Southwest airlines, a trip from Orlando, FL to Seattle, WA is rough approx, 8-11 hours. Depends on the flight you take, route they take etc. Also dont forget they add the stop times and layover times as well. So the initial flight may only be 2 hours, but if the flight has you scheduled to have an hour layover at a stopping airport, then the travel time estimated will go up to 3 hours. So dont forget about layovers. Some flights go different routes than others. In a week Im going to Nashville, Tn from OKC, Oklahoma. They had different flights. One would take me to Dallas Tx, then to Nashville. The flight I chose is only 5 hours and will take me to Denver, CO then to Nashville rather than flying south to TX. Each flight had different flight times. (IE one was under 4 hours, one was 5 hours) Oklahoma isnt but 2 states away from TN yet its taking me 5 hours. Only because Ill be laid over in Denver for over an hour. Thus adding to my flight time. BTW Southwest has some pretty cheap flights. Last minute flight leaving tomorrow from Orlando to Seattle is 294 bucks online.

Kathryn - There is this thing called "time zones" that adjust the time as you go from east to west. In Phoenix Arizona the time zone is Mountain US, one hour ahead of Seattle (Pacific US) time. Orlando, Florida on the other hand is three hours ahead of Seattle. So the flight is not taking three hours it is taking 6 hours (accounting for the time change) - You really leave at 5:30 AM Seattle time and arrive at 11:30 AM Seattle time. You "gain" three hours going East to west and then lose those three hours going back to Orlando.

Hi I flew to Orlando in September from Seattle. On the way home we had a direct flight. The direct flight was six hours. We left Orlando at 6:00pm which is 3:00pm in Seattle and arrived in Seattle at 9:00pm

Can you book multiple flights on the same day
Can you book multiple flights on the same day?
Example if flying from Syracuse to Phoenix, if cheaper to book seperate like book a flight from Syracuse to JFK, then book a flight from JFK to LAX, then book a flight from LAX to Phoenix.

Yes, you can book as many flights as you wish, and plan your own trip. Just remember that if you miss a leg of your trip, the airline is not obligated to put you on another plane.
2 :
Well 9 times out of 10 its more expensive but if its cheaper go for it. Keep in mind that you will then have to do that for the way back.
3 :
I BELIEVE YOU CAN
4 :
You can, but you should heed the advice of dances-with-unicorns1955. When you book each leg separately, each carrier's obligation ends when they get you to the destination you have booked with them. You can reduce your risk in two ways. First, pay for a class of ticket that gives you flexibility to transfer it to another flight. My normal carrier offers a discount ticket that can be transferred for an extra charge. If something goes wrong, there is still an option to change. This ticket is more expensive than the absolutely cheapest discount fares, but you cannot transfer them. Second, you can take out travel insurance. If you do this, be sure to check the details. I recently travelled overseas, and covered the risk with insurance, or so I thought. I organized a side trip, and the return flight was delayed. The insurer denied the claim because I had not left a minimum of six hours between the scheduled arrival of the first flight and scheduled departure of the second flight. Clearly all this adds to the total cost, and you might find that they then exceed the cheapest single booking price!
5 :
Of course you can. Might not be the cheapest, but you may end up with a lot of problems: 1) miss a connection and the airline have absolutely NO obligation to put you on another flight, unless you pay for it 2)Luggage: you HAVE TO check your luggage EACH time (which means you have to go to baggage claims, wait for the carousel which may take 30 minutes or more easily at JFK, schlepping your luggage from another terminal to another, etc, etc.,..) 3)You HAVE TO go thru security at each airport Is it worth it???? Don't think so !!!

Can I bring a school backpack and a duffle bag onto a us airways flight
Can I bring a school backpack and a duffle bag onto a us airways flight?
I don't want to check anything if I can avoid it. The duffle bag is ruffly 10x10x21 inches and the backpack is 17x13x11 inches. I'm flying from Phoenix to Charlotte and then from Charlotte to Guatemala City. I'm not sure if it matters if it's an international flight. Thanks

one carry on only combine the two
2 :
that should be fine. i've seen people with more than that on us airways flights
3 :
I've done this before without any problems (on an international flight, too). Most airlines let you have a carry-on allowance (your duffel) as well as one other thing (backpack, purse, laptop bag, briefcase, etc). You should be fine. Its better to carry it all on...checking bags just leads to problems.
4 :
usually they will allow you one carry on size bag and a purse, computer, briefcase, or small tote so probably but check the airlines website or call them to be sure.
5 :
You can carry on 1 bag and 1 personal item ... your duffel bag is your carry on & the backpack is your personal item. Personal items include briefcases, purses, backpacks (school size, NOT hiking!), tote bags, cosmetic bags. When I travel, I take on a 22" roller bag and a totebag that holds my purse, cosmetics, magazines, & dvd player.
6 :
You should be fine to do that...unless you get an incredibly anal flight attendant.

Would it be okay to take a dose of ativan for only a one hour flight?
Im going from phoenix to san diego for christmas and i dreadfully hate flight take offs but i don't know if one hour is a long enough time to take this kind of medication and have it work and i don't want to be all drugged up by the time i get off the plane so is this advised?

yea just take it like a half hour before your flight i have to take it before certain doctors visits because i get really bad anxiety. are you driving wwhen you get to your destination???you might want to have someone pick you up or take a cab
2 :
Ask your Doctor or Pharmacist. I would suggest medicating only as a last resort in extreme cases of Phobia. As a Flight Attendant, I am aware that sedation can impair your judgement in cases of emergency or evacuation. It's all about safety. Consider looking into other ways of dealing with your fears. A one hour flight is not very long. Would you rather drive?
3 :
Talk to your doctor and ask him or her specifically if it could impare your ability to function normally. I shouldn't mention emergency evacuations but that's what my concern is. Please note that I've been a passenger since I was 8 weeks old and was a Flight Attendant for 13 years and I have never come close to doing an emergency evacution of any kind. Although it's extremely unlikely, you would need to be able to move fast on your feet. I've never taken Ativan but I have taken Valium. I have no idea if it's at all the same type of drug but I can say that I was not able to walk well with it in my system. I took it on the ground for a pulled mustle on vacation. I was very glad I didn't have to go anywhere or do anything with it cursing through my blood stream! ALL drugs are stronger in the air, so be aware of that and remind you doctor of the same (yes, they need to be reminded sometimes ;). A possible solution is a half dose or perhaps another medication would work better. I'm also concerned with the timing, especially if there's a delay. There is another niggly point is that if it's still in your system when you arrive, are you going to be okay with your baggage, tramping around the airport and perhaps even driving when you get there? Airports are not the best places to be when you're drowsy or tired. http://www.drugs.com/ativan.html Most flying phobias are connected to control issues. The majority of people know logically that flying in the industrailized world is safe. It has to do with putting your trust in that machine, not seeing in front of you and not being able to control where you're going or how is what puts otherwise sane people off kilter. If it's only take-offs that mess you up, try breathing techniques or other visualization exercises. I have a totally unrelated phobia so I have learned to stop and breathe when it hits. At least I can relate to flying phobias myself, although I'm comfortable in the air. If you really can't handle flying, consider driving. You are lucky that it is a realistic option. But a short flight like this might help you overcome this. I believe in the confrontation-technique to battling phobias since it worked for me so well. I have a friend who can't go on any sort of interesting vacation. Her family is quite bitter and it upsets her. Overcome this now and you can relax next time you book... Good luck

What airline should I apply for to become a flight attendant
What airline should I apply for to become a flight attendant?
I have an interview with skywest airlines on tuesday the 18th. The only potential problem is that they are based out of Tuscon and I live in Phoenix. If they happen to give me Tuscon, will if be difficult to commute by flight to work everyday?? Looking for a flight attendant with experience to help me out. Also, how long of a time from after training are you given to relocate to your assigned city/base? I found it a little odd that you find out where you relocate 'after' training...??? In addition, what airline should I apply for if I'm looking to be based out of phoenix or southern california? I have applied with southwest and I was denied the position, more than likely because I wasn't recruited for the interview to begin wiht (ooops). Thanks for the help! PS I'm a 21 year old female if that info is somewhow relevant.

If you think you're qualified to become a flight attendant and willing to work in a domestic or international airline then apply to where there's vacancy. If you get the job, transfer your residence to a place nearest your base.
2 :
A flight attendant you must relocate, no choice. Only USAIr in based in Phoenix. If you want to be a flight attendant, you HAVE TO be flexible as where to live and time of work.
3 :
I have been a f/a with AmericanAirlines for several years. You have GOT to be extremely flexible to work in this position. It is not as glamorous as it may seem. Everything in the airlines is based on seniority and as a new hire you will have none. You have to be willing to go where they say.. PERIOD. Your life will not be your own for the first year or so but once you get some seniority you'll have more choices as to where you fly, where you're based, etc. If you're lucky enough to get based in AZ you can drive from PHX to TUS. I drive 2 and a half hrs to the airport for my trips. Bear in mind this is not your typical 9-5 job. I think you need to find out much more about what the job entails before commiting to it.
4 :
Mesa Airlines also has a base in Phoenix. Keep in mind that you may not get the base you want in training, and should be prepared to commute or relocate until you you get it. Commuting is hard work, and will make your work days longer and can cost you additional expense. If your commute flight is late, and you miss your working flight, you will eventually get fired, even if the late flight is on your own airline. Expenses of commuting, including gas, food, hotels, rental cars, etc. are not reimbursed by your airline. As far as your airline is concerned, all their commuters "live" at their base city.

How do I go about shipping my dog from Phoenix Arizona to Anchorage Alaska
How do I go about shipping my dog from Phoenix Arizona to Anchorage Alaska?
I've purchased a dog from a breeder in phoenix and need to have her shipped via continental airlin to ANchorage Alaska. I checked the airlines for flights, and they have one available. Now all I need to know is on little thing; how do I register my breeders to officially drop her off and check her into the flight?

If your breeder was legit, they would be assisting you with the arrangements. I'd be very careful. Many of these Internet transactions are scams. There's a good chance the puppy you get is not the one you've seen, it won't be healthy or there will be no puppy at all. It happens a lot. If you can still back out, I would.
2 :
you should have thoroughly investigated this breeder before you purchased the pup. I had dogs shippped in years ago and it was basically co-ordinated through phone calls. if this is a reputable breeder, HE should be able to provide you with all of this info. Just please be aware that you aren't being scammed. good luck - make sure you take the dog to the vet immediately after you get it.
3 :
Just FYI Alaska Airlines would offer more flexibility for arrival and depature times for shipping your pooch. You can ship the dog by their Animal Express service. You can set it up so that the breeder will drop them off and you can pick them up in ANC. When you book it over the phone I believe you can even pay for it over the phone (not 100% sure on that). Anyway, here is the web address for information pertaining to shipping live animals on Alaska Airlines: http://www.alaskaair.com/as/www2/cargo/Transporting-Live-Animals.asp Good Luck!
4 :
Why are you asking this here? You need to call the airline and discuss this with them. Be sure to keep track of who you have talked to. People fly unaccompained minors (childern) all the time. The procedures for unacompianed pets is the very same thing - except the pet goes in the luggage area - and they have a different rate. Last - you might not be able to ship this dog in one trip. It all depends on how long the delays are between the start and destination terminals. There are both federal and state animal protection laws that govern how long an animal can be in transit. If the delay between connecting flights is too long - the airline will not allow you to book it - not unless it gets picked up - in say Seattle - and then put back into the system a few hours later by someone who has taken care of it. You need to be discussing this with the airlines. DO NOT let the breeder make the reservations!!!! No doubt they have ZERO experience shipping to Alaska. If something goes wrong with the flight or schedule - YOU need to be the one who made the reservation and has the authority to make changes. Not the seller. Hope this helps.

And Mexico has issued a travel warning for Arizona too. There going to ruin there state economy with this.
2 :
If the majority of AZ's economy relied on tourists from CA it would but since they don't, it won't.
3 :
youre an idiot. But I'll take my 2 points, thank you very much.
4 :
Nope, the libs are idiots to think it will stop people from traveling.
5 :
BOYCOTT ARIZONA!!
6 :
Don't see how they could. This deals with interstate commerce. Besides, Denver, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Albuquerque aren't doing anything like this, yet.
7 :
The Constitution says that state government can not interfere with interstate commerce, so they can not tell Southwest airline where the can not fly. The can only tell state employers where the can or can not travel to using state money. Some organizations are moving the site of their conventions because of this law, so it is sure to hurt their economy somewhat. The Mayor and business organizations in Phoenix are very unhappy about it.

From L.A. to Phoenix, Arizona - how long of a flight?

About an hour and fifteen minutes, according to the Southwest Airlines web site. Other airlines service that route, too, and their flights will be similar in length. Of course, the hardest part will be getting to LAX to begin with! Good luck with your trip!

Southwest

If you travel plans are flexible I would use hotwire or priceline
3 :
try southwest, jet blue, or my favorite expedia
4 :
The cheapest I found was on United.com...it was either $250 or $260 roundtrip. Southwest was $330, Frontier $383....but you didn't give dates so that could change things. I just looked at prices for 2 weeks out. If you want to do more searching, try kayak.com and then compare prices to actual airline websites.

I would highly recommend both hotwire and priceline, with cheaptickets comping in a close third. I've searched around for airfare quite a bit, and these three sites usually ring true as the cheapest. Other than that, I'd go to sites like igougo.com, travelzoo.com, or bookingbuddy.com. These sites offer searches of multiple online airfare websites, making it easier and less time consuming to compare prices. As for when to buy, I usually go to farecast.com. They pretty accurately predict when a good time to buy a flight would be based off of past and current trends, etc. It's pretty useful. Another site I've found handy is rightflight.org. They did a bunch of research on the various airfare sites to see which sites are usually the cheapest. They also have a list of most of the airfare sites on their webpage, which can be pretty handy in and of itself. Hope this helped!

Does anyone think that Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will get more flights to Europe and Asia
Does anyone think that Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will get more flights to Europe and Asia?
Does anyone think that Phoenix will get non-stop service to Tokoyo,Japan;China;Paris, France or London Heathrow. PHX already has one non-stop flight a day on British Airways to Heathrow. For a city of almost 4 million PHX is very underserved with long distance international flights. Hopefully US Airways or another company will consider these flights

No probably not. US Airways will keep its International Flying in Philadelphia and Charlotte. PHX is a big city and a big airport but the demand for daily flights to Europe is not there except for BA flight to London. PHX is not a large international business centre and it does not get many international tourist either. There is just no demand and without the high paying business travelers you wont see many international flights across the Pacific or Atlantic. Be grateful that BA even serves the airport. Maybe US will start a flight to Frankfurt, Paris or London on day buts it. I dont see US Airways flying to Asia any time soon either.

Is there anyway to book a flight, and get the same flight as a previously purchased ticket
Is there anyway to book a flight, and get the same flight as a previously purchased ticket?
I have a flight booked for Nov 5th, from Porto, Portugal (opo) to Phoenix, az (phx) via Lufthansa. And I want to know if I could buy a second ticket for someone else, to fly with me. Is it possible to get them to fly the same flight, and possibly same row?

1 :
Yes. The airline (talk to a human) or any travel agent can arrange that.
2 :
Yes, no problem. Either phone the airline or get onto their website. You will need the details of your original booking. The ticket confirmation number or the flight number and date of departure and return. Getting seats together will be best achieved by speaking to Lufthansa direct. You may get a better deal financially by using their website and then speaking to their customer service re seating.
3 :
If there is a seat available on that flight, then there won't be any problem booking it. You can organise seats together then checking in, either on-line or at the airport.
4 :
Dear, You can book the ticket in same flight and can get the seat in same row, as the seats are allocated at the time of check in , when you both check in at the same time you can tell the attendant to allocate the seat as you wish.

What happens if I miss my connecting flight
What happens if I miss my connecting flight?
I am flying back from Norway to Phoenix in 3 weeks but there is a connecting flight in Newark. Instead of going back to PHX, I'd rather get off during the 5 hour layover in EWR and stay there for a few days. I would make arrangements to get back to PHX on my own, but since I have checked bags, would they go straight to PHX even with that long of a layover and would I be charged anything extra? I'm flying Continental btw. Help!

Immediately contact reservations 800.523.FARE (800.523.3273) A $20 fee applies to tickets purchased by telephone or at a ticket office.
2 :
Well these days they will not put your bags on a flight if you don't get aboard (or they will take them off). So your bags will not go on to Phx. You should contact the airline and see what is happening with your bags. Normally with an international flight, and if you go through customs, you will have to collect your bags. Otherwise you will have to change your flight plans so you can collect your bags.
3 :
If you have a through ticket you bags will end up at your final destination.
4 :
Your baggage is likely to go all the way to PHX, unless you intervene and change your booking, you could either cancel your onward journey from EWR to PHX, or ask for an extension to the travel date, either could come with a charge, the 1st because your complete trip would be cheaper than stopping at EWR (crazy I know but possible), or 2nd a later date to PHX, could be more expensive than your original booking, and you would also get a change fee too.
5 :
Since Continental is in Star Alliance, they will probaly put you on another flight in that alliance to your destination.

What to wear for the plane rides
What to wear for the plane rides?
I have an upcoming trip involving two flights, one of them being roughly 5 hours, and have no clue what to wear. The first flight is from Phoenix, AZ to San Diego, CA, and then a lay-over. Then, there is a roughly 5 hour plane ride from San Diego to Maui. I have no clue what to wear and I would appreciate if you did not recommend sweats, track suits, or pajama pants. If it helps, I am 15, 5'4, and 100 lbs. Thanks in advance!

Well, i am also going on a vacation but to England and i hate wearing sweats, track suits, & pajama pants but i would never wear pajama pants because it looks like you just got out of bed and didn't have anytime to change your clothes. But i'm gonna be wearing like a cute little dress becasue it is warm there. You can wear watever makes you feel comfortable sitting on a 5 hr flight. try not to wear alot of jeweley due to the whole security process. i'm sure whatever you have will be fine.
3 :
Where something comfortable and modest as if you are sleeping on the couch at home. Your flight is not that long and planes can get chilly.
4 :
layer but comfy cloths. you never know when you will get hot but you ended up wearing something really heavy. that's why if you layer, you can take something off if you get hot and you can put something on if you get cold. bring a light jacket though so you can keep warm on the plane, they do tend to get cold.
5 :
Sorry but..whats wrong with sweats? Its comfy, and your sitting for like 7 hours on a plane. You can always change into something cute when you get to the airport

How often do you drink alcohol
How often do you drink alcohol?
I've just watched the original movie "Flight of the Phoenix" from 1965, in which one of the main characters, who plays an alcoholic, boasts to have gone "without a drink for 17 days" - and I thought "hm, that's pretty long these days even for someone who doesn't have an alcohol problem... " or not? How often do you drink? Just curious now...

I am proud to say this: NEVER
2 :
Not in 12 very grateful years.
3 :
I used to have a small glass or two of wine almost every day with dinner, but now I haven't had any for a month or two. And I think for some people all alcohol is for celebrations only.
4 :
i don't touch the stuff
5 :
Never. Not anymore.
6 :
two or three times a month
7 :
I HAVE A BOTTLE OF WINE EVERY FEW MONTHS. DRANK ONE AND HAVEN'T OPENED THE NEW ONE YET. NOT A BIG DRINKER, I'M TOO CHEAP. BUT I COULD BE, SO I WATCH IT.
8 :
Unfortunately, not for many years!! I WOULD have a drink once in a while if I could, but I developed an allergy to alcohol or some other component of alcoholic beverages. I've tried a few different types but always became VERY ill just moments after ingesting the drink. So now I don't bother.....
9 :
Half a glass of wine with dinner maybe once or twice a year.
10 :
I don't drink at all. Had my share of hangovers and bad moods and consequences because of alcohol. I decided to stop about a year ago without any need for rehab or AA or anything crazy. It's just unhealthy to consume alcohol so why do it?
11 :
I dont touch Alcohol.
12 :
Every day. Everything in moderation.
13 :
Just once or twice in the weekend, but not that much you know, like........well mmmmmm.
14 :
Every few months.
15 :
I am 20. I have the occasional one or two beers during the WEEK, if at all during the week (I'm a social drinker). But on the weekends I usually drink both Friday & Saturday, infact, i can't remember a weekend I went without drinking except for when I was on antibiotics. I guess I just like to party. I usually don't get plastered (although, sometimes I do), most of the time I drink enough to get a really great buzz going on. Well thats what i think it is, but then I realize that it was more than a buzz the next morning. Wow, is that bad?
16 :
never and will be never. 'coz what? because alcohol won't solve your problem, but will increase yours. some people said that alcohol just delay your problem, but for me, you are in trouble and will get much...much...much... trouble. don't believe? plase ask the doctor for detail what alcohol do to your body. thank you

when i was 14 i would want to drink almost every weekend but now that I'm older (26) i don't have the urge to drink at all
I've just watched the original movie "Flight of the Phoenix" from 1965, in which one of the main characters, who plays an alcoholic, boasts to have gone "without a drink for 17 days" - and I thought "hm, that's pretty long these days even for someone who doesn't have an alcohol problem...

In Twilight's first chapter, do they tell you about the time when Bella meets Charlie
In Twilight's first chapter, do they tell you about the time when Bella meets Charlie?
I have this e-book for Twilight. I'm not sure the first chapter goes this way. "It's a four hour flight from Phoenix to Seattle" "Charlie was waiting for me in the cruiser" I thought the first chapter was all about her mom and her moving :S

half the chapter is her mum half is her dad
2 :
Really? And here I thought all the chapters were about bull****. Silly me.
3 :
Is this a legal e-book? In the beginning you see her say good-bye and leave and then Charlie picks her up. Check whether it's legal, if it's not then that's why. ~~SKS
4 :
No, in the begining she's leaving her mom. and at the end she's with her dad. Hope i helped:)

Kind of... Okay, the first "chapter" is really a half page-long prologue about Bella talking about how James, the villain, was going to kill her. It then goes on to the first chapter and spends about three pages with Bella and her mom, driving to the airport. Bella is explaining why she's moving to Forks and how she and her mom had to pull some extra money out to fill Bella's wardrobe with clothes for up north. She gets anxious about her mom being scatter-brained, the new husband is mentioned, and that's about it. The airport scene is about a sentence or so long. It's a very straight-forward move from state to state, city to city. Then suddenly she's with Charlie for the remaining chapter. From the airport, to the ride home, to her observing how Charlie hadn't much changed the house, to her new room, to going to bed crying... I think. That's, summing it up, the first chapter. If your e-book already starts off with her being on the airplane and then with Charlie, there was a mistake in its transaction/download. I've never bought an e-book, so I wouldn't know what the technical difficulties are in downloading one and stuff. Here's to hoping you didn't get cheated from your purchase in some way. You can always ask for a refund or that this be corrected, at least. Good luck! =)

Go to Southwest.com. :) I think you can get $99 each way depending on how much notice you give, and the day of the week that you fly. Since it's Orange County, you may even get a special online deal of $69 each way. :) With tax, the $99 each way deal will be approx $230 after tax. The $69 deal will be about $150 after tax. Both round-trip. Good luck!
2 :
Southwest is usually cheapest at $49 to $69 each way depending on the season. Right now, Travelocity is advertising $85 R/T.

Should the Imans that were removed off the Phoenix-to-Minnesota US Airways flight be tried
| Should the Imans that were removed off the Phoenix-to-Minnesota US Airways flight be tried? http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20061211-124608-1061r.htm VOTE HERE: http://www.savage-productions.com/webpollimams.html Air Travel - 4 Answers Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions : 1 : No, they were not treated fairly. I am not sure how that can be misconstrued to them somehow breaking the law. 2 : It does not sound as if they were treated fairly. Keep in mind that the Washington Times is a biased conservative and somewhat trashy newspaper so I would not consider it fair and balanced (although it's not as bad as some newspapers) 3 : No. True, they did not use good judgment-------but, they did nothing wrong. And, who knows the true story-different newspapers said different things. One said an Arabic speaking man turned them in because of their conversation-but, I only heard that once. Why wasn't it made well known? There were too many rumors (even by the newspapers) for us to make a call on it. 4 : Give me a break - of course they should be tried! We live in a Post-911 world now and that sort of BEHAVIOR is not acceptable anymore. The PC crowd should wise-up and ask what they would want done if they were ont he same flight as suspicious acting Imans. I know I would either get off the flight or demand a more serious security check for them before boarding. Disrupting hundereds of passengers by this behavior is not acceptable. It is also not acceptable to yell 'Fire' in a crowded theater - this too is punishable by law. |

Are there any bus lines that travel to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix
Are there any bus lines that travel to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix?
My flight arrives at Sky Harbour Airport in Phoenix at 11:10PM on July 30, 2010. I'll be staying at a local motel/hotel overnight in Phoenix. Are there any Bus Lines that go to Grand Canyon Village from Phoenix?

Sure. Type "Phoenix to Grand Canyon Tours" in you browser, and you'll find several pages of tour operators offering tours from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon. Is you're asking about Greyhound, the closest it will take you is to Flagstaff.
2 :
Greyhound to Flagstaff, but you still have to get to the Grand Canyon. I agree with the first answer: Best to find a bus tour to Grand Canyon from Phoenix, or from Flagstaff.
3 :
you are not giving yourself enough time to get to your hotel, get sleep, clean up, catch bus to the canyon and be back the same day and not be exhausted. IT is a fair drive from PHX to the canyon; do NOT do it in 1 day. [re-phrased, allocate at least 3 days in PHX to visit the Canyon and still make connections to go out of state!
